  1. Latin is a neglected and lost art that helps one understand English much better. Teaches you grammar as well.
Government - Latin "gubernare" meaning to control + Latin "mente" meaning mind. Therefore "Government = Mind Control".
The word idiot comes from Greek idiōtēs, meaning someone who minds his own affairs rather than meddle with others.
It sounds insulting because it is meant to.
Even if we were living in a legitimate multi-party electoral system, which we are not, casting a vote for a "candidate" voluntarily makes one a party to any and all crimes said "elected official" commits. A voter becomes a party to murder and war crimes, political corruption, corporate greed, and the whole gambit unconstitutional actions.
A good reason to be wary and suspicious of government is that it has the legal monopoly on the use of force.
As the old saying about fire goes: "Good servant, terrible master." When government goes bad, who is there to protect you? When the police break the law, there is no law. But, of course, someone is going to have power, no matter what. It might be a bureaucrat, or a warlord, or a high priest, or a people's commissar, or a king, or a godfather. The fantasy of everyone minding their own business and respecting each other's liberty is just that: a fantasy. Ask yourself: How much power do I have as a common person in my country? For instance do I have the power to keep my taxes from increasing? Do I have the power to ensure that my salary or wages keep up with inflation?. Do I have any power over whether Social Security will be around when I retire or not? Can I stop my government from increasing the national debt so that each "citizen" now owes over $50,000? Can I stop my country from invading a much smaller and militarily puny country on false pretexts, killing hundreds of thousands, to exploit said defenseless country's resources for corporate profits and private gain? These are all important questions that any smart "citizen/slave" might wish to ask themselves.
This may give you a clue as to who is really in control.
    You?
    Or the Government.

You sound defeated TBT. Are you?

One voice makes a huge difference. True, government has control over the initiation of force and creation of the money supply but they don't have control over your mind and body.

Bloggers are the Paul Revere's of this age. Create a difference by blogging or by starting a radio show, by having an email list of proactive people, become an independent business owner, educate the next generation with true history.

If you let what you can't control influence what you can control you have lost the war.

Look at Ron Paul. One guy but a lot of impact.

Or Lew Rockwell, just ONE man.

    Or Larry McDonald.

    Or MLK.

    Or Gandhi.

    Or JFK.

    Or Arthur L. Williams.

    Or Steve Jobs.

You are ONE also and there is a lot you can do if you decide to take action and get out from behind your computer.

It's time to bring a free society to the minds of your local community and mine.

It only takes one person. Is that ONE you? If not YOU, why not?

It IS you. And it IS me.

Remember, the brave signers of the Declaration of Indepedence didn't ask permission to be free; they simply declared it and followed up with meaningful actions.

I believe YOU and I will do the same.
